yes, it am furry weird. my seal points look like chocolate points in the sun. - Sammy
I look brown too! I just don't get it.
I look kinda chocolate or maybe red, depending, and I am sposed to be grey and white! What is up with that??
Smudge looks brown in the sun too. The reason is that unlike white, black is not a naturally occurring colour or shade. There is no animal that is a true black.

The sun is magic!! Mom says it has special healing powers too.

Knows what? Momma tolded me we don't have black fur...she thinks it am dark dark brown...kinda like polar bears don't really have white fur...ya know? It's a'fusing to me.

Cats are lucky 'cause we have natural "hi-lites" - we don't hafta go to the saloon and pay lotza money to put bad smelling stuff on our fur.
The mom says that, in the sun, I have black-blue stripes on a black-red background. But for the most part it is all lost in my shinyness.

me and sammie and jinky have some brown in the sun too, and shadow does too.... I thought we were black and whites. except shadow, he's mostly black.

I am all different colors in the sun too. Even doh I look black I am a mixture of colors...and I gotta lots of white furs too.
