They said that an abnormal marrow signal CAN mean you gots cancer, but they just think it was a bad spot on tha film. Did they suggest testing, just to be on tha safe side? NO! They am CRAZY! Momma am calling tomorrow to see if her can get a new V-E-T! Fanks for all tha purrayers. Puhlease keep em comin!

We are sending some extra purrs & nuzzles to your mom. Mom says she hopes your mom gets a new bean vet soon too.

That's a real comfort that the doctor "thinks" the abnormal marrow signal is just a bad spot on the film. You do not want to gamble on that.

Structurally intact?

You tell your Mommie to run, not walk, to another doctor, fast.

Remember, they didn't all make A's in med school.

I hope they're right about it just being a spot on the marrow part of the film, Oreo. Your mom's been through enough already. Mary Lynn's comment is funny: they didn't all get A's!

That's called a "second opinion" and she is smart to get one.

our Lady finks yur momma's bone doctur is a bonehead who's IQ is well below room tem-purr-it-chure. she needs ta trade him/her in fur a smart one who duzzn't say stoopid stuff.

yeah, your mom needs a new v-e-t real quick. Our mommy cannot unnerstand how a v-e-t can be so stoopid and uncaring.

Oreo,
go get the telephone directory, look in the yellow pages and find a new vet for your mom. Every avenue (alley for you)of medicine needs to be explored. This most likely is not too bad and can be corrected, but tell her please, not to take any chances. I will keep the family in my prayers.

a second opinion is a very good idea. your mom is very smart. she should be the bone v-e-t.

that spot they found on the film? it isn't a piece of your fur is it, Oreo. Manny's fur goes all over the place so I just want to be sure.

[just trying to make your mom smile]

People vets aren't always right or even close to being smart...make your mom get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. A spot on the film means RETAKE THE FREAKING FILM!!! Sheesh, even the Man knows that, and all he does is pass gas around people vets...

I hope you Mom gets a second opinion really soon. Her present doctor doesn't sound very good to me. I am still sending good thoughts to your Mom.

We's sending healing prayers too. That bone chip looks like it HURTS. Definitely get a second opinion. The x-ray should have been retaken if there is a spot on the film. We's keeping our paws crossed fur you.

Human v-e-ts, do they know what they are doing? My mum can never even get an appointment with hers, they have a scary receptionist who always says "NO there are no appointments available!" By the time you get to see the doctor, my mum says you are either better again or deaded.

Oreo's momma - our mom had to go looking for a new hematologist when the one she had was taking some bad signals too lightly. Turns out she had aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), which luckily resolved itself. That other doctor wasn't doing the right tests!! He would have never found out what was wrong.

Get a new doctor. Definitely. Abnormal marrow is nothing to take so lightly.

holy cowz. some bean doctors are kuh-nukkleheads. sounds like yer mom gots one of 'em. she is smart to make haste to anofur one, who presumably doesn't need a glass belly-button to see through.

like earlier this year, She had a CATscan (we are proud they named it after us!) to tell her what the "spot" on her chest x-ray was. the radiologist's report read, "if patient continues to have symptoms, refer to surgeon for removal of gall bladder." not a blinkin' word about her lungs. (fortunately, the "spot" DID prove to be nothing but a wad of lung tissue, and she already knew about the gall bladder thingy.)

anyway, we're taking that "pray unceasingly" thing in earnest!

Sweetie, tell mama that when she calls the vet's offices, she should ask to talk to the nurses. Then ask the nurses what doctor their kitties take their mommies too... nurses don't play games with their loved ones!
